Overview
Producer.ai (formerly known as Riffusion) is an AI tool that makes music from text. You type “gritty trap beat” or “lofi jazz” and it spits out a track. Not a full-length one but a short sound that feels just right for vibe checks. It’s got that AI magic with a remix edge.
This thing works by using Stable Diffusion but instead of drawing pictures it draws sound spectrograms. Then it flips those images back into audio. It’s wild. You see the sound then hear it. It can even morph from one vibe to another like turning church bells into techno basslines. That blend space is where it shines.
The idea started as a side gig in late 2022 by Seth Forsgren and Hayk Martiros. Next thing you know they’ve got TechCrunch coverage and $4M in funding thanks to Greycroft and yep The Chainsmokers.

In August 2025 Riffusion rebrands into Producer.ai - the first agentic music producer. You can chat with Producer like you're in a real studio. You can work on lyrics, learn instruments, or get ideas from other artists. You and Producer can make new EPs, create your own visual styles, even invent weird music styles.
