Qwen-Image-2.0 is the image tool from Alibaba’s Tongyi Lab dropped in mid February 2026. initially, there's no open weights, it's API-only on Alibaba Cloud (invite beta) and free demo on Qwen Chat. It handles both making and editing images in one go. It’s part of the bigger Qwen group built by Alibaba Cloud. They say it works well for creative stuff and pro-level visuals.
Key stuff it does. You can throw in about 1,000 tokens of input so it handles long, detailed prompts. That helps with making posters, comics, slide decks and infographics in one shot.
