Overview

Bria’s not your average AI image tool. It skips the web scraping and builds visuals from licensed stock stuff like Getty and Freepik. That means no copyright scares. And it has its own tracking system to make sure the original creators get paid. 

Bria AI started around 2020. It was founded by Yair Adato an AI guy who used to lead computer vision at Samsung and was CTO at Trax Retail and Cortica. The company’s based in Tel Aviv.

Yair runs the place as CEO. Ran Oz handles commercial stuff he used to be at Meta and Kaltura. Barak Hachamov’s in charge of revenue he's a serial founder.

They’ve raised over $10 million backed by Getty Images Publicis Groupe Samsung Next Insight Partners and Hetz Ventures. Nvidia Inception also supports them.

The founders worked on visual tools for retail self-driving vision systems and Samsung’s own AI before starting Bria. So yeah they’ve got real experience in computer vision not just hopping on the AI bandwagon.

Bria is for folks who need solid image generation and editing without the legal mess. It’s trained right packed with editing tools and fits into any stack. If you care about IP safety and want to pay creators fair this one’s got you covered.

They’ve got a Free / Playground tier where you can mess around with the models on Hugging Face. It’s good for testing stuff or seeing what it can do but it comes with limited runs and no commercial rights. So if you’re building a product running a campaign or posting to your biz site this won’t cut it.

Once you need more than a few sample images or want API access and legal safety you gotta move to paid plans. Cheapest one is the Starter with basic API usage. Then there’s a Startup program with some credit deals and finally a full-on Enterprise tier that unlocks everything. It's also available on Replicate.
